My T-14 is still under construction. Had it all put together and then discovered I couldn't get it through the door.....lol........I have it painted now and plan to take it outside and put it back together today. Probably three more weeks before I see any Martins, so I'll try to be ready.

Thanks for the kind words and advice KathyF - I haven't seen a snake in years, not even on my bluebird posts, etc. My two dacshunds take care of the snake problem. I did have a couple of raccoons (and squirrels) bothering my bird seed feeders, had to use stovepipe baffles on those.
2010: two pair nested, 1 bird fledged.
2011: starlings/sparrows destroyed nests. I shut down the house early to save PM lives.
2012: new T-14 with SREH, & a Beeman R7. Four fledged this year.
2013: Destroyed many house sparrows, but fledged 21 PM's!

Wow all these houses are amazing. Must feel great to have built it by hand. I hope you all have a great season. You deserve it.
PMCA member. Trendsetter 12 system on Lake Michigan, 2011: 1 pair laid eggs, lots of vistors, 2012: added dawnsong and decoys, no luck (Had a wren take over the house), 2013 added four Troyer gourds to up my chances.

Beautiful house and superior workmanship I must say. I also would like to echo the concern of predator guards as Kathy mentioned. I learned the hard way as a few years back I lost 18 pair of martins to Racoons in three nights time before I realized what was going on. What birds the racoons did not get all left and I had no Martins the next two years. I really would hate to go through the stress of that experience again. I hope you have a great Martin year.

Bacato - yep - I have 3 of them. I mount them up on the pole as high as I can reach by standing on the ground. They take about a minute each to put on and take off.
