Black flies

Before they become a problem I wanted to ask you folks what you use to control black flies.? In the past I used an aerosol product called screen pruf with great success I might add, but I can not find it anymore. I simply plugged the entrance hole and sprayed the outside of the house.

Last year was a bad year for these invasive little insects and I want to be prepared this year.

Here's an article I found in the "search" area. If you go there and search for "black flies" and click "all words," you will turn up more. I have not heard of an outbreak yet this season -- maybe this year we will escape.

I think these insects thrive on freshly flooded areas, and where the water is moving, but there probably are different varieties.
