Nest building has begun!

Nest building began this morning just west of Orlando, about 11 days earlier than last year. They used up all the pine straw from the bed & breakfast this morning and we've got it re-stocked for tomorrow. The fun begins! Still waiting for male subbies to return, although we've seen several females. We will have 40 cavities this year and hope to exceed the 150+ young we fledged last year with 34 pair. Good luck to everyone in 2011!
There is no greater thrill than interacting with nature. Fledged 144 in 2014.
