This is to announce the availability of a new Electronic Bluebird Prognosticator similar to my Electronic Purple Martin Prognosticator previously available.
The Electronic Bluebird Prognosticator was developed by me as an additional method for bluebird enthusiasts to maintain accurate records of their nest boxes from year to year and to monitor trends. It also tracks western and mountain bluebirds and tree swallows. It was developed in Excel 2007 spreadsheet format so it should be downward compatible with older versions of Excel. I have NOT tested it with the FREE OpenOffice spreadsheet program but a compatible version should be coming out soon.
You may download it at http://cipmaweb.org/bluebirds.htm . It is still in beta version but should be very useable. As always it is freely available at no cost.
I am also almost finsihed with a new Purple Martin Electronic Prognosticator. This new version is similar to the previous version which has been downloaded over 1000 times. New features include support through year 2015, more statistics, minor bug fixes, and support for emailing end of year reports to PMCA in an acceptable format (currently working with Bob Aeppli from PMCA on this). I'll post when this new version is available.
Hope you enjoy the software and find it useful. Now is a good time at the beginning of the season to track your bluebirds or martin colonies. You'll enjoy them more and also be able to provide useful information to associated organizations at the end of the season.

I'll use both Roger - looking forward to the new Martin version. I'll wait to download the new one since I haven't seen the original one.
Thanks for sharing, and best to you!

Glad you are going to try both of them Jeff. The older version of the Martin Prognosticator can be found out http://cipmaweb.org/downloads.htm .
Feel free to download and take a look as it will give you a flavor of what the new one will do.
Hope to publish the next version within a couple weeks.
