I've seen some picture here of 3/4 netting to stop snakes.

where can you buy this? how much should you use on each pole?
and how do you attach it to the poles?

I've never had a problem with snakes, but after seeing a clip on here of
a snake climbing a pole so easily, I realize I probably should put something up, just in case.

I bought mine at Lowe's. Ask for bird netting. I make a cone shaped frame from wire then attack it to the pole and rim of the cone with zip ties. Caught 2 snakes last year. I posted photos of the frame and netting if you want to search for them. Some landlords attach it to the pole in sort of a wad. Both methods work.

It's also sold as deer netting. They're the same. I got mine a Home Depot. It's purpose is to keep birds from fruit trees and deer from other plants.

A good idea to have both, snake netting and a pole guard for the four legged critters.
