Hey folks
I have a question I have a house that had two pairs in it last season
Will it drive my martins away if I put up a gourd rack on that pole?
Now I have three gourds racks in addition to the house and have
Ten pairs nesting in them (last season). The house is a 12 room
Hotel but the rooms are only 6 by 6 and I now know that is too
Small . All of my gourds are now Bo 11 . I welcome all advice.

Question on housing
I see no problems if you change the house out and replace it with a gourd rack. Since you already have 10 nesting pairs of martins in your gourds
If you decide to keep the martin house. You need to convert it to six rooms. 6" X 6" X 12"
Having martins nesting in a 6X6X6 cavity is inviting trouble. This makes it to easy for any predatory bird to take any or all the birds in that cavity.
And once a owl or hawk finds easy food, They will be back.
