Pictures of my Martin's
Well I have to say I had a good year, a lot Martin's. Per last season they didn't take to my T-14, this season was a good one they took the T-14 and the gourds went first. Am sorry to say I didn't do a nest this season, but this morning I counted over 20 Martin's

2009 had 6 visitors, 3ASY & 3females(1 male serious)
2010 1ASY male & 1ASYfemale, May 9, 2010 I became a landlord
2011 They came back. Got cold .they left. Never came back. starting over.
2012 1 came by. 2013 (0)

Well I suppose I am. This is the first time being an landlord. I only have the one pair of ASY's. They laid 4 eggs, Hatched 4 also. They are about a week old. I thought I lost my ASY Male yesterday since I didn't see her at all from the time I got home at 5:00 PM. Tonight he was there again helping mom feed the kids. I was pretty sad today until I saw her again. Those babies are growing like bad weeds. They seem to be twice as big as they were 7 days ago. I am having a sparrow trying to get a mate on the opposite side of the gourd rack. He just started to like the spot sometime yesterday. I haven't had any problems on the rack up to yesterday. Hope to trap the bugger before he does some damage.
I have had a lot of visitors for the last 2 months since my ASY pair decided to stay. So I hope that means more martins will come next year and stay.

What are the dimensions of the pole that T14 is on? I don't know how windy things get in your neck of the woods but I would be scared to death to have that house on that pole here in Indiana.

- Martin Colony History: Colony started in 2009 with 2 pair.
Currently I have 3 gourd racks with 24 gourds. One gourd rack will be for sy arrivals only.

I agree with flyin-lowe...skinny pole, heavy T-14, and wind..= DISASTER...
