Just as I suspected when my son let the martin house down, a nest full of baby blue birds. Yes, I will leave them alone till they fly off to the sky and then the house will be closed up and the other house will take down in a couple of weeks. Think the martins will be gone by that time. They have really been soaring about the last few days. Hopefully with the martin houses closed the bb will move to their own houses. In the mystery house in front yard, feel babies are there and that is fine. So yes, again I bombed out on martins, but maybe another year. The house my son brought up still has martin nest in it and I am wondering if it would be helpful for next season to just leave the nest like they were when he had martins galore, or should I clean the nest out and the house as well.

Delma,

I'd leave the old martin nest in the house so it will look used and "successful" to any martins investigating next year. I envy you with the bluebirds. I wish I could get them here in Fort Worth.
