I have Natureline Gourds with SREH and the porch attachment. Is there a good sparrow trap that will work with this gourd?

I have a good repeater trap and a decent air rifle but still have HS problems.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

well join the club.sparrows are relentless.for ever one you get rid of it seems 2 take there place.i have a repeater trap and it seems they get wise to it.it works only at certain times?the sparrows will be with you until the last martin leaves.good hunting and may the force be with you!

I do not know if there is a trap for the Natureline Gourd. But I have learned the hard way that trapping is one of the strongest considerations one should have in mind when purchasing gourds and accessories. I now have up (with the exception of four or five gourds) either Supergourds, Troyer Gourds with C2 tunnels or natural gourds with C2 troyer tunnels.

In the past when I had an untrappable gourd, I would have to swap it with a Supergourd with trap and hope for the best.

The repeating bait box traps work very well when you have a house sparrow in it as a lure. I usually get my sparrow lure from having trapped it in a gourd.

Here is your trap for the Natureline gourds. http://purplemartin.org/shop/product_in ... 4d1bcdedda

This is a very effective trap.
Don't ever, ever give up. It will happen.

Those HS's are relentless, I agree. However, I've noticed that when I get one in a trap, it's female. The male is the one for target practice. It seems to direct the ladies to a breeding spot. Forget the nesting lady, get rid of him.

Thanks Sandy for the information about the gourd trap. I will order it today.

And thanks everyone for the help. Right now the male HS is singing to the females but hasn't had any takers yet. I will still try to get him with the pellet rifle and the repeater trap. Just wanted to use everything available to get rid of him and all of his stinky little friends as quickly as possible.

This forum sure is the perfect way to get assistance. Thanks again all.
