I have a Lonestar Alamo house that has attracted it's first HOSP. Does anyone know the best trap compatible with this housing? Any experience with it? I'm guessing the t-14 trap in the pmca shop is the best fit, but I don't know if these houses have the same dimensions. I'd love your input!
I do have a ground repeating trap, but I'd like one for the house. Of the two that could be assumed appropriate in the shop one of them warns it will not work with metal housing. I'm a little confused. Sorry for repeating this question. But this question is specific to the Alamo, not the Goliad. Thanks all.

Well not exactly an answer to your question but I purchased a T-14 insert trap. The one made of wood and wire cloth with the orange door. I'm not impressed at all. I would say 60-70% of the time the sparrow enters trips the trap and escapes before the door closes.
I believe soon I will purchase the metal spring loaded one. If you decided to go with a T-14 insert trap consider this.

I tried the other first because of the price, didn't fit. Buy the metal trap, pricey but it does fit.

The above trap has worked very well in the last three yrs. I wait until a sparrows establishs a preference for a compartment and then set the trap the following day. I have S$K 12 room houses and they fit very well.

I have not seen in person one of the Alamo houses but I have a T14 and here is the problem I have with the traps. I set the bottom of my SREH almost flush with the porch on my houses(1/8- 1/4 inch). This greatly increases the effectiveness of the SREH. The problem is that on the insert traps that I bought the bottom of the trap door is not flush with the bottom of the trap. If you look at the link below and notice the wood underneath of the orange door. The wood underneath the trap door blocks the entrance so when I put this trap in my T14 it just blocks the door so nothing can get in.
