Stan, I saw a male and female fly over last evening headed for the house at the east end of Swan Lake. I walked down there and could hear them softly vocalizing inside the house. I am hoping the predicted cold and snow for this weekend doesn't happen.
Glad you have more birds showing up.

Glad your seeing some martins. There were two pair here this morning. If the weather does go south this weekend I will attempt to supplemental feed on Sunday afternoon. They took food from me last year. I hope the weather man is wrong.

We have one pair and a single ASY male. More birds have been around Swan Lake the past few days and I hope there are more to come. Still having to trap sparrows every few days as new ones try to move in.
Also seeing hawks almost every day.
Hope you have a good year.

Take it all back about the hawk. He came around today, but the martins sounded the alarm. I thought he was going to land in the front yard. Our six and about six others from a couple houses away bombed him until they all were out of sight. They stayed away for a little while and then returned. There was sure a lot of noise from our martins. Whew! They sure were on the alert.
We've got 3 pair at one house and 1 returning pair in the other house so far. My husband was working in the yard and they all lined up on the utility line and just looked down and talked and talked to him.
Great to have them back. They sure make our day around here.
Dick, looking forward to seeing if you get any more visitors that decide to stay at your place. Wishing you luck!
