Four days earlier than the previous two years.
I didn't get to even check last night, as I got home from work after dark, but tonight three PM's came in just before dark. They came and went a few times and then went into coffee can cavities on the 2009 Folgers House setup.
It's supposed to be cold out tonight. So hoping that they don't find it too cold.

Congratulations on your birds returning. I worry about the cold as well. Was some relieved with Steve K notes about the cold. At least it is sunny
I'm still in the city recovering from the parade. Notice it is 30 outside. I'm Anxious to get back and see what's going on. Got an email from co-PM fan who said we have more coming in.

- Martin Colony History: Had a colony many years ago which dwindled over a couple of years and then did not return. Kept trying each year for almost 20 years and finally had a small success in 2011 with two pairs nesting. Colony has grown slowly each year with 22 pairs in 2015. In 2016 my gourd rack of 18 gourds filled up so I added 4 more gourds and then put up a small rack of 6 gourds. All of those were claimed within a few days so I believe I have at least 25 pairs this year.
Congratulations Joe! Hope that means you are off to another record setting year for your colony.

I think you're right. When I got home tonight, about 5pm, there were eight PM's lounging on the different poles.
EIGHT! Wow. This is a few days earlier than ever before too!
For a change, I am completely ready for them. All painting has been done. All ventilation finisned. We should have a record number, for sure!
Still cold here. Hope they all make it alright.
You still covered with snow there?
Post that pic you showed on the other site, with the yard bell and your martin house in the sunlight. That was beautiful!
