Victor Stoll has written a book about purple martins and will be introducing the book at MartinFest 2009. He plans to be present to autograph the book, health permitting. MartinFest will be held on June 19th and 20th on the Victor Stoll Farm in Finger TN. Victor Stoll has the largest recorded purple martin colony in North America, with over 600 nesting pair. The Stoll Farm will be open for MartinFest from 0700 until dark on both Friday and Saturday. On Friday there are no scheduled activities. On Saturday the scheduled activities begin at 1000, with BBQ and homemade pies served at 1130.

I was so hoping to make it to the Martin Fest this year, but again due to work it will not be possible. I have seen pictures and it must be amazing to be able to attend in person.
I am looking forward to the release of the "Stoll's Purple Martin Book"....I know it will be a treat
