I just realized that the nestcam should be looking more toward the nest bowl than the porch, so I will make the adjustment tomorrow.Stay tuned...

Thanks Randall,
I really enjoy your camera. I watch all the time. My wife will hear the birds in the other room, and ask "are you watching the babys?" She thinks I'm nuts to watch someone elses birds, but sense I have none of my own, I"ll just live through you vicariously until I do!

Thanks Tony. I am glad to share. Be sure to watch the colony from the camera on my patio for an "Outside" view. It is really busy in the first few hours of the day.

Hi Randall! Nest cam looking good here.
Even more fun at night when I get to watch the action on the Nevada Salt Flats behind you, as they test for the new speed records with their Warp Engines fired up!

Thanks for another great year at your Nest Cam!

Randall, your nestcam is looking good! I have the same situation with my nestcam. I bought a separate Troyer H Gourd just so I could position the nextcam just right, pointed at the lowest spot, the bottom, of the gourd. But then the Martins decided to have the bowl of their nest at the FAR back end of the gourd. Then they built a high berm with pine needles in the middle. So I'll have to re-position my camera also towards the back of the gourd.

Do you have any eggs in your nest yet> Kind of hard to tell from the video.

Check out my GourdCam at:

PMTV was quite intermittant for a while but now it is nice and steady.

Randall,

I'm not sure what's going on, but your cam don't have a video feed, and the sound sure don't sound like a martin. If it is a martin, he is in deep distress..

I had to replace the skylight that lets in the light (for better color) and fix a short in the wire. I was afraid the camera got drowned when I saw the skylight was gone.

In addition to the video feed being gone, what I heard at the same time was the most gawd awful screams from some bird. Sounded like some kind of attach. I just was hoping your martins was ok.

well the video feed is there...can't make out what that is in the nest, under the night light it almost looks like egg shells but they are too big, unless its light colored leaves that are dry....no birdie though i hear a lot of chatter in the background and a dog barking :)

I thru in a few shiny green leaves that all the Martins have been taking off my Pear trees. I figured I owed 'em something for the inconvenience to their home.
