You have enough room for at least a few more houses.
Nice property there!

Martin Colony History: I moved to South Florida, from Delaware, in August of 2015.

I care for a 6 condo Sunset House as well as two Deluxe Gourd Racks, with 24 Chirpynest/Excluder gourds, along a canal in Pompano Beach, Florida.

At Quiet Waters Park, nearby in Deerfield Beach, I care for a Deluxe Gourd Rack with 12 TVG's. I also care for a Deluxe Gourd rack with 12 Excluder gourds with Modified Excluder entrances. I am substituting 6 Chirpynest boxes for 6 of the Conley II entranced gourds in 2026.

At another local park, Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek, I care for a Trendsetter 12, 5 gourds rack with 60 Excluder gourds with Modified Excluder Entrances and 1 Deluxe Gourd Rack with 12 Troyer Vertical Gourds with Starling Stoppers over the Conley II's to keep out smaller starlings.

What a great site! Lots of open space. Your housing looks terrific.

Kevin,

Congratulations on such a successful and great season. After hearing that the martin population in Michigan has declined over the past few years, it is good to hear that you had so many nesting pairs who brought 245 fledglings into the martin world.

You have a great site and so much space to add on.... 8)

Thank you for sharing your picture and story with us.

kbooms,

Congratulations on a successful year! I have an arrangement similar to yours except I'm on a golf course and have a pond. I have two Troyer-style houses and am going to add a third for nest season. Question: How far apart are your houses? I can't quite tell from your picture. I'm wondering how close together I can place my houses. I think my present houses are separated the same as yours. Thank you in advance for your respon

Thanks everybody

My houses are 25 ft away from each other and yes I do have a lot of room to expand. I don't think I will because there are a lot of new colonies that have started in the last few years in this area.

Here is a little better picture of my colony.

Hi SUSANH

The houses are wooden Northstars and the martins love them. They are the most popular house up here.
