Hey I live about 5 miles outside of Reading, if you can figure out the problem with the pic and post one that would really help. This is my first year to and I am in the EXACT situation as you (barley meet space requirements) but I would really love to see a pic

I have 5 BB eggs that are going to hatch around the 26th.

The males are the ones that sing in the morning to get females to come check out the cavity that they like.

I agree with jassalva, I would say its a house wren and I would take the rest of the eggs out including the nest. The female should rebuild a new nest and lay new eggs. My BB pair just finished laying their 5th egg today. I wouldn't lose hope or give up they are amazing to watch.

So I have had a BB pair building a nest for the last week (and it looks done). I have been watching them a lot and I noticed that I only see the male come to the house without the female. Is she just eating a lot and trying to get nice and fat for when she lays eggs or something. I only saw her ONCE...

Nice pic! I'm pretty sure that my female BB is in the house right now with one egg!!!

That is fantastic my bluebirds that I've had for 3 years are still making their nest lol only a little behind this year.

Hey I've had bluebirds for the past 2 years. I was getting worried but today to my surprise I saw the male showing the female the nest box and she went in and checked it out!!!!!

I read somewhere that a lot of Martins come right after a big storm. Is that true? Anyway keep your colonies safe!!! Up in PA where I live there is a damaging wind warning hope everyone's colonies stay safe through the weather!!
