It was last Thursday. I have a trio "grandpa version" house and the pole tat came with it was a rope pulley system.

The recent storms in Kansas has bent my trio pole. My PM's have 4 active nest and are hanging in there. What type of pole should I buy and when should it be replaced?

Mine showed up a week ago, which is about the same as last year. Don't worry they will show up.

Yep, our forecast for the wichita area at the beginning of next week is not good. Monday's high is 37 low 25. Hope they make it OK

What a great sight to see. I hope they figure out the SREH doors, as this is the first year i have tried them. A little nervous. I do have quite a lot of starlings in the area, so I figured why not try them. Hope you all have a great season!

Thanks for the info. I took my mss-12 house and converted it to the larger sizes with SREH. Just curious, do most pairs have their nests in the back 6x6 compartment in the enlarged compartment?

Thanks for the replies. The reason why I am nervous is because my previous house was 12-6x6 compartments and was very successful. I bought the cheap lowes version of the trio house. All 3 openings are connected to one flip up door. How do I make SREH since there is no door replacement that I know of. What trap do you recommend I buy, and where and how do I use it? Thanks in advance!

I have a different perspective on this, gained from managing colonies in public parks. Starlings sitting on the house are not a direct threat to martins and won't scare them off at an established site, unless the starlings can enter your housing. Using some type of SREH will keep your martins safe....
