Dick,

Good job! No friction washers frozen solid and one could add a couple of socket extensions to get the operator out from under the heavy load.

Nice, Tom

Please consider wing entrapment guards of some kind. It does and will happen at one point or other .
Am using four of these houses on multi-poles with great success.
Like all others, I believe the enlarged quarters. are the most important

Good Luck

I have three of these houses. They work great and my martins love them. Convert them as S-Ks says. It will give you one apartment with rooms end to end and two apartments with rooms side by side per floor level The knock holes are 3x3 inch so are plenty big. My birds will fill these before going for...

I have three S-K's, four BO-11s, and one T-14. All have crescents with PMCA wing entrapment guards. All The S-Ks are converted to six two room apartments. I believe this is the one best thing you can do to these houses. This is my fourth season. With 34 pair this year I feel quite fortuneit. If I ha...

Allen

Do not try to take the handle off, especially under load or you may get your housing on top of you! The handle screws onto the shaft clockwise.

Dutton Lainson also offer a removable handle and hub assembly.

This too was my first house and I also opened up an attic entrance. Not the thing to do. Covered it with gorilla duct tape and has lasted three years now. Do you and the martins a favor. Take Louise's advice and convert the house to six, two room apartments. They love the side by side rooms, though s...
