I have a T-14 with gourds underneath. Any reason these lights can't be mounted right on the house?

Could an owl cage be made from 6 x 6 concrete wire? Less wind resistance, easier access for martins and easier to work with. Surely an owl wouldn't be able to fit inside without quite a battle. Any thoughts?

I have a T-14 and 36 natural gourds with clinger entrances, all porchless. No problems for the martins and NO starlings! 49 pair last year. I do have tailprops on the bottom compartment of the T-14.

I have used porchless clinger entrances for years on my T-14 as well as on 36 natural gourds. No starlings, no problems!

I have had clingers on 30+ natural gourds as well as my T-14 for a number of years with no tail props or porches. No problems and no starlings!

Hopefully NOT!!! 2-5 inches of sleet/snow forecasted for tonight. They usually show up Apr.1st +or- here on the Chesapeake Bay side of VA. I did hear of a sighting near Chesapeake recently though.

I used some plywood and old vinyl siding I had laying around to make nest trays for my T-14. Easy peasy!

I have porchless clinger entrances on my T-14 and 30+ natural gourds. No problems with starlings and the martins zip right in! They also hang right on the bottom of the entrance for feeding young with no problems.

My T-14 and 30+ natural gourds are all porchless with clinger entrances. The martins zip right in and the starlings stay out! I do have tail props on the T-14 but not the gourds.

I have used two 2" round galvanized steel poles for years. One holds 24 natural gourds and the other a T-14 plus 8 natural gourds. A 2 1/2" piece of PVC conduit makes a nice snug ground socket. These pieces of pipe were available to me at no cost so I gave them a try. No problems so far.

My 30+ natural gourds and T-14 get the nests dumped out and a quick once over with the paint scraper. A shot of Sevin and a couple of handfuls of white pine needles and they are good to go for the next season. No problems here with this method.

My goal for next season is to finally get to 50 pairs of pms. I am currently at 42 pair.
