I see the Martins are getting very close to Missouri. We put up a couple of houses up for now in case one shows up within the next few weeks.

We have an adult male Martin just land at 6:13pm in Washington, Missouri. He's home. He is currently trying to figure out which house he wants. <3 He arrived 2 days earlier than last year. It is rainy but his wings don't look droppy, he looks good. He's been eating.

Hi. I was wondering if anyone has a camera set up to watch the Martins yet. I would love to watch as my Martins have not arrived yet. We have a couple more days to wait. The last adult male Martin arrived 3/14/18 last year. Hoping they arrive soon. <3 Have a wonderful day everyone.

Not a good idea to put a house up for starlings when trying to raise Martins as well. As the others stated they will not get along.

I would put a house up, wouldn't hurt to try and attract Martins your way

Took some pictures of the female Martins eating this morning, was mainly the females eating the most! Gave them crickets and scrambled eggs a few of the males ate quite a bit of the scrambled eggs the second go around. Thankfully, they are getting used to eating the eggs. Can't wait until Wednesday ...

Today we have counted a total of 9 Martins, started out at 4 and were just them for 2 weeks. The nice weather we had yesterday blessed us with 5 more Martins. our number count is still down though, we should have about 30 Martins by now. This weekend is going to be cold...supposed to get snow so we ...

We had some new ones stop by this morning, hoping they come back so we can get a good count.

They have been eating out of the tray for many years now don't have a exact date but it's been awhile. We also put nesting material in the tray as well.
