July 27 ---- All gone?!

Central KY. Four 12 unit complxes - nesting pairs in 10 or 11 of each. After hatch, birds in flocks - too many to count. Past two days, no return. Fare the well. See you next year!

I'm obviously not good at tongue in cheek. I do shoot sparrows. But, their love for this junk S&K house has made my job a lot easier. They are leaving alone all th other five condo complexes. Think I'll leave it up for awhile.

WINDMILL MOUNTS

I'm contemplating installing a windmill to power aerator for 1 1/4 acre farm pond. Mounted on a 25 ft pole, like a light pole. I'd like to hang Martin gourds on the pole at 12 - 15 foot level. Plenty of room below the fan which will be always active. Doe anybody have experience with such? Or advice?...

Central KY - 30 mi S of Lexington. On Mar 24, one happy male helped me put up my last house. Here about 10 min. Nary a sign since. Past few nights, even the sparrows have deserted!
