Buzzard's Bay, Massachusetts

Any know if Purple Martins are present in the Buzzard's Bay area of Massachusetts. My in-laws have a cottage opposite Onset Bay and I was thinking of putting up a house there. When I was visiting over the 4th I asked many of the locals and none of them even knew what a purple martin even was. Did not see any housing either which I thought was strange.

There are colonies south of Boston in Marshfield, and Lakeville. Not sure if there is anything in the immediate Buzzards Bay Area. Lakeville is not too far from there.
