martins in plum island mass

great set up in plum island mass, of gourds but it seems like the sparrows are nesting to in them,with the martins is this set up by the same group that has the set up in seabrook nh i remember back in the 60,s there were tons of martins at the plum island site way befor there were gourds, just martin houses back then good to see it started again
anybody in NH doing purple martin watching and doing house,s and gourds

You Could say the martins have been missed managed over the years sadly at Plum. I too can recall the days when hundreds of Martins nested there. There is a excellent group in Seabrook. I am very happy for them and there is talk about change at the funspot area colony as well there working on it now. New Colony's have been started in Seekonk MA,Barnstable MA,Wellfleet Bay - Mid cape. Barrington RI 125 pairs
Rehoboth MA just over 100 pairs. And many full smaller sites threw out southern NE.

fun spot is that the set up area in plum island whats there plans, i have 3 pairs on greateast lake in eastwakefield NH again this year
anybody in NH doing purple martin watching and doing house,s and gourds
