Martin Colony History: The 1972 St. Agnes flood wiped out all the Martins in my area. One day, in 1997-98, 5 or 6 Martins landed on the power wires crossing my back yard. I had no house for them. They kept coming back day after day. We got a martin house a few weeks later & they have been coming back every year since. I average 12-15 pair per year.

It's a whopping 48, cloudy, sprinkles, very windy here today. Feels like March not May. We may even get snow flurries! I filpped 200 crickets about an hour ago & will probably have to flip later today.

Many of my pair have built or started nests, but have not brought in any green leaves yet. It's been to cold & wet. It's supposed to finally warm up mid week. I sure hope so.

Sorry to hear you have bad weather, we just got thru a few cold windy rainy days also. Thought I would try thanking the good Lord for positive weather instead of whining about the bad, hoping to get more good weather ahead.
