When I first built this house some 3 years ago I thought and now after rethinking I believe it to be 5 years ago. I didn't know right from wrong.
When and if this pair I have successfully raise a fledgling and leave. I have thoughts of modernizing and doing things right to this house. It is a four holer and not built to spec at all but it does hold a pair as I said.
I am going to put up a gourd rack facility near by for next year.
Would you rebuild the old house, replace it with one on spec, take it down or just leave it in place as a calling card?It worked once.

Lets make a plan,PM house rebuild or not?

IMO, If the pair you have are successful in raising and fledging martins, you may want to have it up next year. You should be alright adding your gourd rack also. So if they come back next year they can choose. If they choose gourd rack.....the other house can probably make a nice TRAP shack...
You might be able to enlarge compartments and redo your house. IMO I would convert it so the hole they used this year was in same place, facing same direction.
I suppose if they don't choose the house next year, its your call what to do with the house. I just read on hear that you should change housing all at one time, more so if just starting!
Good luck!
