The Shreveport, La roost was featured today on KSLA channel 12 'see it, snap it, send it' segment at 5. An extended version was on at 10, showing a short clip of the interview.

Thank you, Gary - good job! We encourage anyone with a roost near their community to try to get some PR for the martins - it's educational and will help people learn more about Purple Martins.

Thanks all! Special thanks to John Miller who encouraged me to contact the local media!!

Thanks Don for posting the link, I was going to post it but have been busy this morning so it kept slipping my mind (whats left of it anyway! lol)

What KSLA posted on their website was the 5 o'clock report, the 10 o'clock version had a little more info plus a short clip of the interview. I've requested a copy of the 10 version.

The roost should start winding down soon. I go about every other night to monitor it's progress.

Glad they ran your video. Hope to see the other clip with your interview if it becomes available. I think it's important to call public attention to these roosts and just make people aware. (I also think I saw some of Steve Kroenke's martins in the first few seconds of the clip.)
