With the birds being about 3 weeks later than normal, I was pleased to see 2 ASY females emerge from two of the four open cavities at first light this morning. After breakfast, I unplugged the remaining doors. At lunchtime we had about 20 birds in and out of the cages and checking out all the housing. These birds all look really good, with well maintained feathers. They're splashing in the lake right now. It's hard to tell if they're feeding, drinking or just getting a good bath. It's mid-seventies here after some brutal weather that I know that many of you have shared. Praise be to God.

Glad you finally got some returning birds. We had had some scouts stay a couple of days but our birds are not back yet! Hope they are okay!
