Martin Colony History: Start 2009 with one pair. Upgraded from S&K houses to two Trendsetter 12's with gourds beneath in 2013. I have experienced job, pet, and parental losses since '13. The Purple Martins lift my spirits and remind me how life continues forward by flying their little selves from Brazil back to my yard. As one forum person once told me, chin up DebA, look at the martins. Danger all around but yet they soar in the sky without a care in the world.

Last Saturday I wore my new PM T-shirt to the craft booth I was working. A very nice man inquired about it and that's all it took. To heck with our product. To heck with you wanting sample. To heck with helping my sis...she became on her own.

Ahhh...someone wanted to talk martins! He wished there was a cover made to go over the house for winter. I was able to say I know Trendsetter makes one for theirs. I wrote down this site and the Shop button and how to maneuver to the covers. Invited him to the forum.

The only thing is...I gave him the wrong web address off the top of my head. I wrote pmca.org. Later I noticed right there on the sleeve of my shirt was the address. Give Deb a duh again. I hope he finds us. So if this you and you arevreading this it was my pleasure to meet you and talk martins. It made my day!

However, our sales techniques are very interactive and bringing that to a hault is not so good. I have to earn so I can buy more crickets afterall.

One other lady commented on my shirt. It reminded her that she needs to pay her dues. :)

Thanks for the reminder Deb. I have to get mine, but not now, I am on a roll to get 60 pounds off before February. So I will be getting one and a logo hat too, just in time for spreading the word, as the houses are going up all over the country but, I am leaving our gourds up all year with the doors closed of course. They are just too heavy to take up and down, and since I will be 60 pounds lighter..they will weigh even more. Thanks for all you do in spreading the word. :)

Hmmmm.....it appears that my quick, smartypants reply, was not accurate....:|
The convention group mentioned, is the PCMA, not PMCA.
I completely turned the "M" and "C" around.
This did lead me to another, interesting find.
It appears that the domain name "pmca.org", is currently not taken.
Louise, any chance the PMCA may try to acquire that domain name, allowing them to have both "purplemartin.org", and "pmca.org"?
