The Greater Houston Area Purple Martin Association will meet Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Cy-Fair College in the Technology Center, room 102 at 7 pm. Clay White, a full-time biologist at Cy-Fair College, will discuss in detail the Avian Flu (H5N1) and what every purple martin landlord needs to know. This information is crucial with all the media attention given to migratory birds and the avian flu.
This meeting will also feature Emil Pampell, who will explain and demonstrate step-by-step how to create a trap door to control sparrows and starlings. Emil will also present new ideas on martin housing.
Clay will also update us banding projects in the Houston area.
