Martin Colony History: Started out with a homemade wooden house gifted by a neighbor as a birthday present about 35 years ago when we lived in town. Only had a couple of pair, but have been hooked ever since. My grandfather gave us several of octagon shaped aluminum houses when we moved out of town, he had too many trees. We managed to gain a few more pair and then we moved again, to our current location 27 years ago. We've added additional housing over the years as the colony grew and now have 2 gemini gourd racks with 36 troyer gourds ad 12 super gourds, a courts waters edge suite bundle (2 eight suite houses with 4 gourds) and a quad pod rack converted to hold 16 troyer gourds instead of the pods.

 4 ASY males arrived. Hope they are ours. Absolutely nothing been on the boxes until the martins arrived, now the BBs are wanting to aggravate.

They are wanting to check out the new housing with crescrnts, but have opted so far to enter the old Pioneer box w/round holes. Have seen them perching on the QuadPods but not the Coates WaterEdge Suites or Troyer Horizontal gourds.

More, more, more.....We're not excited.

Between Ben Lomond and Frog Level. Actually, just across the creek from the Ben Lomond city limits.

About 12 miles north of Ashdown.

Electraglideman,

Looking at scouting report, it looks like the PMs have landed in Arkansas. Lots of reports today and some yesterday. Showed one report from Arkadelphia yesterday, so you should be seeing them soon.

I am thinking that this is about the time (+/-3 or 4 days) we have gotten them since '98. I think it was mid March in 2003.

Mark.
I haven't seen any yet but I'm getting ready for them. Mine usually don't show up until the middle of march.
