a day late so far as we know, but they have landed at our site.
Elaine snapped this picture earlier today. I have having a root canal.
somehow this doesn't seem fair to me. I did get to see these fellows
hunting overhead. They've gone down to the lake now so maybe Randall will get a peek at em from the Rockwall side.

Great picture and congratulations on your first arrivals for this year. I hope your root canal goes well. I know you are so excited. We are still waiting and all of us still waiting feel your excitement and it keeps us going until ours arrive.
We have now had as many as 7 at once, 4 or 5 asy males and at least 2 females. I'm not so good at id'ing the gals so I can't say if the are asy or not.
I opened the two cavities they seemed most interested in so 4 open now including the two i've kept open to lure sparrows and starlings into their abrupt end. We had a pair go into #14 for a while. Its cooling off around here. I'll try and watch if any cavities are occupied around dusk.

Congratulations, bk.
I got my first right on schedule on the 13th, and they were back on the 14th. But I have not seen hide nor feather of them since.
I work six days a week, and those troublesome starlings and sparrows dominate the houses and gourds all morning long. Saturday (14th), I put a couple of starlings out of commission, and a single sparrow with my trusty DAISY, so the martin.s found some clear flying the rest of the morning. Bad weather Sunday, and nothing again today that I know of. But my wife has been sick and not able to watch. So maybe..who knows?
Very Happy for you. With that many, your Martins will quickly outnumber the others.
