Just curious if anyone else is seeing this in the Northern Ohio area. With all the rain and cold weather we have had, I'm curious to see if anyone is seeing any subadults in this area. It's been really weird, I usually see all kinds of barn swallows, hummingbirds, and PM's but I haven't seen one yet! I am really shocked that it is June and not one bird yet. I have some tree swallows nesting in a BB box and BB's in one of my other boxes. If anyone has any input. please feel free.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,
I'm not a Buckeye, but am in southeastern Michigan. There are plenty of birds here, but breeding activity seems delayed by a couple of weeks. The eastern Great Lakes area had a cool May. May was dry here, so my colony didn't seem to have problems finding food. However, they have been very slow to start laying eggs. I have heard similar reports from other landlords in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
Hope you see more birds soon, Mary

I've seen one subbie who's gone and I have yet to see him. No hummigbirds! :( I usually start enjoying them mid-April!
