This is so interesting. I went on, put in my info, everything fine. Now I have my name right at the top, and not on the list with everybody else. Sheepishly I goofed. Please help.

don't forget you can get a Street View in Google Maps. When you click on a pushpin an info bubble pops up. Click on 'more' and then select Street View. You get street level view. Hopefully when they came by for the pictures, it was during PM season and the racks were up.

As of 2018 - 84 cavities offered, max # of pairs hosted - 82.

mclifton - close out then log back in - I see your site listed at the bottom of the list, just above "Placemark 174" and Bob-O. Is your pin where you want it to be? If not, just click on it and drag it to where you want it. I don't think I can drag it for you - maybe hugh can....

Some of my markers were slightly off, used street view instead of satellite, did an edit of those locations this evening so they should be pretty close now. All my extra markers are Amish farm sites to the west and south west of my location. There are many more sites nearby but I didn't keep close tabs on them.

Well it took a while but I finally got thru edit and moved my pin back to my location, was about 5 miles off??? You have to sign in google, upper right hand corner to select edit and then work out the choices you want to do.

Martin Colony History: I moved to South Florida, from Delaware, in August of 2015.

I care for a 6 condo Sunset House as well as two Deluxe Gourd Racks, with 24 Chirpynest/Excluder gourds, along a canal in Pompano Beach, Florida.

At Quiet Waters Park, nearby in Deerfield Beach, I care for a Deluxe Gourd Rack with 12 TVG's. I also care for a Deluxe Gourd rack with 12 Excluder gourds with Modified Excluder entrances. I am substituting 6 Chirpynest boxes for 6 of the Conley II entranced gourds in 2026.

At another local park, Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek, I care for a Trendsetter 12, 5 gourds rack with 60 Excluder gourds with Modified Excluder Entrances and 1 Deluxe Gourd Rack with 12 Troyer Vertical Gourds with Starling Stoppers over the Conley II's to keep out smaller starlings.

Thanks for the reminder,Hugh.

I added my three satellite sites (South FL and Delaware) and updated my home site totals as well.

Hey Hugh,
I'm on!
Interesting! Thanks.
Having problems locating chosen individual's site.
Reasons:
1) I don't know landlord's real names so I don't know how to find them using their real names. I only recognize their Forum handles.
2) Not being alphabetized makes it difficult.
3) Not having landlords grouped by states makes it difficult.

Is it me or am I missing something?

 Well I am on the map. Haven't had much time to be on here. Been working 10 hour days and 3 hours on the road getting to work and back home. 13 hour days sure makes one tired.

Been looking at the scout report daily and it is so exciting to see 50 to 60 landlords a day getting there martins. I think this could increase as the purple wave starts on it's way northward. Hope my pair made the trip down and back. I also had 4 SY males stay for 6 to 8 weeks as well. Maybe they will be back too.

For the people with your birds back, I hope you have a good season and for the people still waiting to get yours back, just remember they will come. We don't need them to early with this cold/snowy weather. To a good season to all!!!!!!!!

Martin Colony History: Had a colony many years ago which dwindled over a couple of years and then did not return. Kept trying each year for almost 20 years and finally had a small success in 2011 with two pairs nesting. Colony has grown slowly each year with 22 pairs in 2015. In 2016 my gourd rack of 18 gourds filled up so I added 4 more gourds and then put up a small rack of 6 gourds. All of those were claimed within a few days so I believe I have at least 25 pairs this year.

Stretch, Thanks for bumping this up. Hugh had a great idea.. Thanks Hugh. I was a little disappointed last year as I thought there would be a lot more locations posted especially in Virginia. Come on VA landlords let us know where you are :-)

Martin Colony History: Well established 90 cavity colony. Mostly plastic gourds with some custom cedar houses atop pilings out over the river. We live stream the activity on our website https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXKqSW ... Ph2tywu4eg

We are on the Maurice River. The Maurice is brackish and tidal. It meets the Delaware bay about three miles down at East Point, NJ. The area is remote and consists of dense marshland and swamp. Dragonflies abound.

Swallows arrive in mid August and finish nesting mid July. There is a large annual roost in mid August upriver a few miles at Mauricetown.

There are three colonies in the Atlantic Ocean
Good luck Purple Martin Landlords.

the usage, I agree is a bit difficult. Everyone has the ability to add and delete anything/anyone.

I added a couple sites around me just so I could zoom out and see. I didn't know there names, but put markers and a little description of the housing.

I too, wish you could search by state, sort...etc...maybe google will listen... :)

thanks for the interest! here's another bump!! :)
