With a single story house, put it as close to the house as you want to. Trees are the issue. I don't know if you're open to cutting any more than you've already cut but cutting a couple of those tallest ones on the left could make all the difference in the world. Thanks Brad! We just wrote a huge check to take down four or five very large trees a month or so ago when we moved in. It's possible one or two other big guys will need to come down (due to their age/health). I want Martins, but I hate to take down mature trees. We'll have the find the balance. In any event, I think the tree line is probably bound to stay like it is for at least this season. As for the future - never say never...
