I second what Carlton says. Hopefully your trsw pressure will be less than what I deal with which is about 30-40 trsw darting around the setup on and off for most of the arrival period of Martins and the weeks leading up to martin arrival.

Martin Colony History: 2017 Had a lot visitors no Matins nesting, hoping 2018 will be different.
2018 Had 1 pair
2019 had 30 pair

I put a shepherd hook up with a gourd today to see what happens. I have all the gourds plugged and the only place they have to go is what I have up for them.

James check out the Tree Swallow Emergency download on this site if you get a chance. It's located under the general Purple Martin info link and click on "Competitors ". It's a great guideline for anyone who has trsw present at their site. You've done exactly what is recommended but the download provides great info on where to go from there. Hope the martins find their way to your new site soon!

Carlton:
I had the same experience 4 years ago. The Tree swallows accepted their new gourd without problems.
I Just moved their gourd farther away from the Martin housing each day. All information is good to know.
Thanks. Good luck .
