whistle gourd

does anyone use the s&k whistle gourd and if so what is the residence rate????

I use 4 and the occupancy rate is 100%. This is a full colony, though. They are LAREGE... One thing is certain, an owl is never going to reach in and grab a PM.

I have 4 whistle gourds & 8 natureline gourds. 100% occupancy the last 2 yrs. The whistle gourds are always the last ones selected. However, they have had a 100% fledge rate and the environment around these gourds seems stable and not as hectic as the environment around the Naturline gourds. I plan on replacing my Natureline gourds with Whistle or or one of the other double sized gourds in the 2009 season.
