Those of you with multiple pairs and having a steady job to go to probably have never witnessed this.I with one pair and being retired am able to watch for longer periods of time and cue into some of the lesser antics.

I have been watching the come and go of both the male and female during their feeding of the babies.

Picture this scenario::

The opening to the nest faces north,he nearly always approches from the south and makes a tight U-turn into the entrance,she on the other hand always approaches from the east circles clockwise 1/2 revolution behind the house and enters from the west with a tight right turn at the very end.

This occurs about 85 to 90% of the time.

Dick. Now THAT is paying attention to your birds. There have been uncountless times where someone (Myself included) has wondered which direction was the preferred one to approach from. Seems as though you've answered that question. Who says Newbies can't offer unknown factors to this hobby?? ha ha. Good call there on watching yours. Good Luck on attracting a few more. This hobby obviously needs MORE landlords like you. Keep watching and reporting there Dick. CUL Lou
