Sparrow trap found

I located a ST-1 yesterday in Ft. Worth. I put it in place yesterday afternoon. I hope it works and it's not too late. I had 4 compartments with nest building, but one was taken by the sparrows. I removed it, plugged the hole, so they moved to the adjacent hole. I removed it and plugged. Hopefully they will leave (or die) and the martins can complete their nests. If anyone in this area is looking for a trap, let me know and I will let you know where I found mine. They actually had 2 different kinds. I still have no roosting birds & all of mine are subbies.

That trap works good if you put pieces of feathers, lint, etc into the trap, the sparrows like to use that for nesting material. Put it on the pole about 3 to 5 ft off the ground for good success. If you tear out the sparrow nest, use it for bait in the ST1

I've had my ST-1 for about 3 years now, just this year alone I've trapped 11 starlings and 4 sparrows. We have more starlings around here than sparrows. If you can keep them alive in the middle trap, they seem to attract more of their friends. Good luck....

I just removed another sparrow nest from my house. I used the nesting material for bait and left the compartment (in the maritn house) open for them... Hopefully, this will attract the little birdies to their doom!
