Do I need to locate the 5 eggs to the center of the nest? They are on the bottom of the plastic gourd off the nest. This is my first pair since rat snakes a couple yrs ago

Garn... In my experieince, inside the nest the martins will usually construct a shallow nest cup where the eggs are laid. Usually this nest cup with the eggs is placed against the back wall of the gourd, sometimes the side, more rarely in the middle.

So it is perfectly normal for the eggs to be located off to one side, I would leave them where they are, the martins have arranged them how they like it.
