Here's a short list of some of the most commonly used ones.
HOSP = house sparrow
EUSP / EUST = European sparrow (see also HOSP) / European starling
S&S = sparrows and starlings
SREH = starling resistant entry hole
ORH = old round hole (not sure how many people use this)
BB = bluebird
TS = tree swallow
PM = purple martin
SY = second year PM
ASY = after second year PM
Hope this helps.

Here are some more:
PUMA also = PUrple MArtin The 4 letter species abbreviations are standard banding lingo, adopted by a lot of birders as short-hand. Here, we tend to use PM, BB, and TS for Purple Martin, BlueBird and Tree Swallow. Banders would say PUMA, EABL (EAstern BLuebird) and TRES (TREe Swallow)
PM also = Private Message (from someone on the board, as in "PM me later about this.")
HY = Hatch Year - New baby purple martins, just hatched this year.
SG = SuperGourd; a commercial brand of gourd
THG = Troyer Horizontal Gourd (ditto)
Aggie: Never heard EUSP (European Sparrow) By this, do you mean House Sparrow? Ornithologically speaking, House Sparrow is the accepted name; English Sparrow is a local nickname, is EUSP the same?
