After three frustrating years trying to get martins my wish is getting fulfilled. I'm up to 3 pair! I have 3 pair of ASY males and females. After hanging the S&K Big Bo gourds under my 16 room barn house the martins are going crazy for it. Yesterday I had ASY visitors in the morning hours and picked up another pair at dusk that chose a gourd. This is some kind of fun ya'll!

Raybe, I also have three pair in my first year. I am in Hot Springs. I have a Coates eight compartment with two double compartment Big Bo gourds under the house. I have one pair on each side of the house and one pair in a gourd. I keep waiting for the SY males to show up like everyone says, but have not seen one as yet. I have seen two of my pairs bringing additional nesting material back to their "selected" compartments. I keep waiting for that first egg, but being new at this, I don't really know when that should happen in our part of the state. All three pair spend the mornings here and then take off during the afternoon, not returning till around 7:30.
Glad for your success.

Hey Mr Lodi, we're located down at New Edinburg. I've seen a lot of activity in the past week. I haven't seen any sub adults as of yet. Keeping my fingers crossed.
