does anyone have any ideas how I can put something outside to catch the martins call so I can hear it in my living room? I have a plate glass window that doesn't open. So the little thing they sell at the Wild Bird store won't work...it only has a 3 foot cord and needs a window that opens.
My goal is to hear the martins when they are overhead. As I only had one pair last year, I was constantly running outside to see if I could hear them. Even sitting in my parka freezing watching to see if they would come home at night.
thanks for any help

How about a baby monitor? I don't know how sensitive they are, but that might work. They are relatively inexpensive and pretty much available anywhere.
