Geeze is all I can say.I haven't been around the forum since last summer. Got on here this morning and been reading posts. Most forums that I visit are not any different than this one. I belong to motorcycle , golfing, fishing, flying forums and more. The one thing that is common on all of them is different viewpoints among members leading to debates, disagreements and yes sometimes arguements. If these types of communications offend people to the point of them leaving the forum, than I say good bye and good luck finding one that doesn't have debates, disagreements and argueing. Don't think you will find one. I am sure there will be several folks that don't like my opinion that I am now stating, but quess what. I'm not quitting because of that. I found this site has been wonderful and helpful. I really don't think that I would have a colony if it wasn't for the folks on this forum. I don't aggree with every idea here, and I don't care for some things that go on here, but for the most part this forum is GREAT , and I am not that sensitive that someone is gonna run me off. The info and help I have recieved here is too valuable to be quitting. I also feel like maybe I can help a newbie get going from the knowledge you folks so freely gave to me. Thanks

In the absence of a stern moderator and a strictly enforced set of "be nice" rules, I agree. Forums can become a little wild.
I'm a little rough around the edges and sometimes I offend the sensative ones. Usually it isn't intentional, and I never resort to name calling, but I have been known to call someone out if I think they are being a pansy (got no use for emotional basket cases) and I do use sarcasm quite liberally at times. One of my many faults I suppose. Doesn't bother me anymore, I'm used to it
.
I forget who it was, but last year someone was totally wigging out because one (1) PM died at the hands of a dog. I was a little (lot) rough in telling them to suck it up and drive on. Got my hand slapped for that one
.
I try to edit myself, but it depends on how my day went,
Ian

Seems at the moment we need no one, to utter the famous ring announcers words, "LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE".
As a newbee I can only thank those, who have helped me, beyond my expectations, those that have come and some that have gone, who wrote the endless archive reports and yes even, for those who enable me, to hit the bail out buttons, on occasion.
Sure I find differences, of opinions, to which I say, thank you. I would grossly fear a one sided lopsided line of support.
I sure am glad that our mission is so difficult and involved. My twenty two compartments somehow managed, to remain the goal. My lack, of computer knowledge, enabled me, to learn new tricks, to play through a simple thing like Dawnsong. Incidently the archives, on this subject are a helpless lot. My young geek figured it out. The goal remains simply, to sing, to the birds and get them, to investigate. Somehow we managed to chop straw and pine needles, to suggest, "HOME SWEET HOME". We even managed, to get some gourds, in the air.
I have nothing but admiration and respect, for most, of the communication that is activated, by simply asking a question. I thank my maker, for the wisdom, to know the difference, when occasionally the communication gets beyond my comfort zone.
I surely hope the birds can not feel negative vibrations between my observation site and their would be new homes.
My best, to all landlords large and small, for the season. I hope they will bring, to all of, us a delightful summer, of observation.
Me thinks it is time, to bury the hatchet, in a bale, of straw, instead of each other. That sure would make nicer nesting conditions, for all concerned.
