Martin Colony History: 1st birds 1990. 1 12 room metal house, colony started.
current 2 tr14s, 1 tr18, and 56 gourds, usually average @ 70 pair. 102 rooms available.
above mounted on 4 structures..

Any body know of a source for aluminum ( or other) tubes to bend for owl guards on gourd racks. I had a lot of problems with hawks and owls the last couple of years, time to add. Pic show solution to my t14's.

at home depot i saw some aluminum Rod's about that same diameter as the wooden Dowl Rods in your pic's , if those are wood, i believe that they would work for you , also there is a Plastic coated Poultry wire you may be able to use. I would like to add a comment, are you keeping up any Decoy's???, if not , i would like to suggest you add some on top of your Houseing it helps save your PM's. In the past i have had attacks but after they take plastic decoy's a few times and realize it's not a Meal the attacks stopped. Just remember the preditor's pray on the sick & slow so generally if you have up decoys it could give your PM's a chance to escape during an attack. I hope this info helps you out okey and have a good Martin Year.....

Lev. You might check out the Yellow Pages of your phone book. I'm not sure where it would be, but I've found different metals for sale in there. Might try Aluminum Sales. Lots of times there will be like an index which gives a common term, then refers you to the correct section. CUL Lou

I get all aluminium/stainless steel at scrap yards - can't beat the cost.
