Another year and another PM season. If the past 3/4 year are any indication, I will have a martin at my site in the next three weeks or so. I wish they would not return so early. We have alot of cold weather to face in our area. Good luck to everyone.

I think that there are a lot of people a little neverous about cold weather.
PMCA member and Martin fanatic....
2011 A pair of subbies fledged three young but none returned in 2012 :-(
2015 One Pair of subbies came and stayed a few nits but got chased away by Bluebirds and Tree swallows. :-(
2017 0ne pair of subbies nested and fledged 4 young
2018 Tree Swallows AGAIN chased away any martins that wanted to nest
2019 Same old story................ :-(

Our cold and nasty weather usually comes latter part of January, all of February and sometimes March. Hope those martins don't suffer too much.

I'm with all you Guy's,,,,I'm worried about our cold weather in Jan&Feb . Last year i lost alot of pm's due to the Icestorm Here in Texas, it was so sad for me, i did all i could to save them all.
