New digital camera
Just got the Kadak Easyshare camera kit. Took a few pictures of my house and gourds and downloaded them to my computer. Would someone have time to help me post a picture to this forum? I know that you all have help people before, but I am a little slow. My pictures are now showing up as 1500 MB size. I need to down size them I know. Thanks for any advice

- Martin Colony History: Erected 1st house in 1997. Birds were checking it out before Mike got down from the ladder. Six cavities had a little colony 1st year. Grown to 88 cavities all gourds with near 100% occupancy. Most important factor for success is rain = bugs.
This is what I do:
Go to the file of the photo and right click on it. A window will come up and it should have the option to "Send to" - click on that and pick email. My computer asks me if I want to resize my photo and I say yes. It then opens an email window with the photo file as an attachment. Click, hold and drag this photo file from the email to your desktop. You can now close the email. Go back to the forum and the "Add A Photo" section of your post. Click Browse and locate "Desktop" in the file list. Find the name of your photo file and select it. That should put it where you want it and now it will be the correct size to use here on the Forum.
If it doesn't work, let us know - there are other ways of accomplishing this.

If you have a photo selected on your computer, you select it by going to something like "My Pictures", then about all that you need to do is to go to the bottom of this reply, hit add photo, browse, and submit..Some procedures are a bit different, I suggest you try it, and if you get hung up somewhere, then someone can help you.
Quite often you must resize the photo as it may take up too much space, then after you resize, then you will be able to post.

I have Easyshare from Kodak, but I can't figure out how to use it to make my pictures smaller. I had to do like Laverne said, bring up the picture in Windows and act like I'm going to e-mail it, then place that attachment on my desktop. If you can explain how to do it within Easyshare I would be grateful. Thanks

Rick. Just thought I'd toss this out to you. Seems as though there is a limit as to how many pictures one can have on the Forum. I don't know how much, or how many, but just keep this in mind in case a message shows up that you have reached your limit. Don't know the exact wording, but just keep it in mind. CUL Lou
