MARTINFEST 2005
Thank You So Much

On June 17, 18 .. Folks from the U.S.and Canada gathered together at the Victor Stoll Colony Sight . The largest Purple Martin Colony of 700 nesting pair in America..

This is the 8th year that this event has been held,, and the 3rd year that it has grown to an annual 2 day event.. Friday, June 17th was Vendors day , and Saturday, June 18th was the main event..

Although we ( the Stoll family at Finger TN.) are hosting Martinfest each year., it is you folks that come., some from many miles,, that contributes greatly to Martinfest and its success, It includes local folks and the Vendors and the Martinfest Committee., We are all together to meet old friends and make new friends.. To chat and get excited about our lovely Purple Martins...
We want to say a great big THANK YOU to each one of you for your fellowship and cooperative spirit... God Bless You.. The Stoll Family..

Martin Colony History: First started in Gretna, La in 1969 with a small homemade house, have had martins ever since at 2 different homes in Texas

Tenn - Victor Stoll with about 700 pairs
Tex - Tony Fredricksen with about 300 pairs
I have about 200 pair
Tenn - Thurman Seber has about 150 to 200 pair (I think)
Seems like a guy in Miss has about 300 pair (his article was in Birds & Bloom recently,

Without a doubt the Victor Stoll farm/colony in Finger Tennessee. That is unless someone out there is keeping their colony a secret. CUL Lou
