We have been using webcams successfully for 2 years. This year we had one of our nests started, so we placed a webcam in the gourd (under the access cap). The nest was abandoned and we are wondering if placing the webcam could have been a problem? We also had 2-3 days of steady rain just at that time with occasional gaps in the rain allowing for our colony to eat. They seem fine and are now laying eggs.
Also I heard that there might be a webcam protocol on this website, but I can't find it. Please help me find that. Any advice about using the webcams will be appreciated.
