I have a S&K house that had antenna perches on top at one time. Has anyone ever made replacements for these?

I started with an S & K house years ago. I just drilled a hole on each end and the bought like a 6 foot long fiberglass garden stake. So it stuck out about 3 feet on each end. I put a small hose clamp on the stake just outside the hole so it couldn't slide out. Cheap and much sturdier than those plastic ones.

Congrats!

I also use garden stakes for perches- they are widely available, lightweight, and easy to cut to length. When I had the S&K barns, I found they were a perfect fit in the groove along the front of the roofline (above the upper porch). Hope that makes sense- if not I can try to find a photo.

Congratulations on your gourd nesters. :)

I too use garden stakes as perches. They are widely available, lightweight, and easy to cut to length. When I had S&K barns, I installed them in the groove on the edge of the roof (above the top porch) if that makes sense. If not.. I will try to find a photo.
