Super Early sighting SW Indiana
A good friend of mine texted me just now. He found a dead PM at his house. Extremely early for his established colony. Not sure why it was so far north so early. We both live in SW Indiana, very close to Owensboro, KY.
Started with Trio houses and converting to Super Gourds. Adding another gourd rack this year.

I know it's not likely but any chace it was one that died last year? Was in in a house or found just in the grass or something. My nieghbor has an old chicken coop that is run down. His last chicked had died a couple years ago and has laid in this coop. He had forgot about it and expected it to be gone or mostly a scheleton, or gone due to scavengers. We he showed it to me I was surprised it was pretty much fully in tact... In Indiana you could have martins passing through from the north as late as september or so, I could see one in cooler temps and then the winter freeze being pretty much in tact if a racoon or something didn't find it.
